FAQ

How do I book? 

Fill out the ‘contact me’ form and I’ll reach out via email (please check your junk folder if you don’t see it.)  

How far in advance do we need to book? 

As soon as you can! In order to ensure availability, we should get your date booked as soon as possible. 

Where are you based? Do you travel? 

I live in Scottsdale, Arizona. And heck yes, I love to travel. Travel fees may apply, depending on the location.  

Can you help us with a location? 

Absolutely! I LOVE being a part of helping you choose the perfect spot. I also have a list of locations you can choose from or we can venture out and try somewhere new.  

When is the best time to take photos? 

For outdoor sessions I prefer to shoot when the lighting is best, which is sunrise or sunset. The light is so gorgeous at these times. For in-home or studio sessions I prefer to shoot late morning or early afternoon.  

What should we wear? 

This completely depends on the mood you are going for but you should wear something you feel comfortable and confident in. Earthtones are my personal fav. Our location can also help determine what may look best. For families, I’d stay away from being too matchy (ex. all white shirts and jeans or everyone in one shade of blue). Are you still stressed about coordinating outfits? Don’t you worry. You will receive a session STYLE guide as well with more information once you have booked.  

I have the cutest dog! Can I bring him/her? 

The answer is always yes. We just have to make sure the location is pet friendly.  

Do you charge a cancellation fee? 

Nope! There is no cancellation fee. However, the $150 retainer is non-refundable once paid. 

What if it rains? 

I know firsthand that AZ weather can be unpredictable! If it’s too hot, windy or rainy we can totally reschedule. But I’m also so down to just roll with it. Hair blowing in the wind or splashing in puddles sounds like a pretty epic session if you ask me. 

What’s your turn around time? 

Typically, 3-4 weeks depending on what type of shoot it is. All of my packages include “sneak peeks” so you’ll get a few teasers within 3-4 days of your session. 

Do you edit all the photos you give us? 

Yes! Every single photo. I pour my heart and soul into every image. Editing is a huge part of a photographer’s work. I do not deliver RAW or unedited images at any time.  

Do you offer photos in b&w? 

I do! If b&w photos are your jam just let me know and we can incorporate them into your gallery.  

How will our photos be delivered? 

You will receive an email with a link to your online gallery. From there, you can download your photos, share the link with friends/family, share to social media and order prints. 

Where should we print our photos?  

I recommend a few different printing resources and I also have access to professional services as well if you do not feel like dealing with that part. MPIX (www.mpix.com) is easy, quick shipping and good quality. And it’s my personal opinion that images look best with a matte/lustre finish to them, rather than glossy. For professional printing, I use both Miller’s Lab & WHCC.
